Fall Means Post Season Baseball and Teeth

One of my favorite times of the year is Fall. Fall means college football, Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, NFL and cooler temperatures. One thing that is important as we start to get busy with school, work, sports, and other activities is to not forget about our teeth.

It is important that we remind our kids to brush their teeth after eating breakfast before going to school and before they go to bed. That we take the time as adults to floss daily and brush at least twice a day. Also using mouthwashes and gums containing xylitol can keep our mouths clean and cavity free.

If you or your children are involved in sports or other contact activities, don’t forget to get and wear a mouthguard. More tooth related injuries occur during this time of the year as the amount of activities increases.

Last if you just happen to win your division, the league, the World Series, or championship DON’T open bottles with your teeth like Yasiel Puig!

Have a great fall and we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment. If you don’t have one already give us a call at 503-670-7088 Tigard TenderCare Dental.
